How can I obtain my credit score?
Using our simple AutoVerify form above will give you a rough estimate of your credit score range. Additionally, you’re entitled to a free copy of your credit report from each of the credit bureaus – Equifax and TransUnion – once a year. Each credit bureau may have different information about your credit history on file, so it’s a good idea to get a copy of your report from both agencies.
How do I know if I have a good or bad credit score?
Typically, anywhere between 550 and 850 is considered a good to excellent credit score, which often gives you more options to work with. If your score ranks between 300 to 550, you might have a harder time getting approved by lenders. Thankfully, with help from the Lange & Fetter finance department, everybody gets approved!
Can I get a car loan with bad credit?
At Lange & Fetter, we get customers with all kinds of credit statuses. Whether you have good, bad, or no credit, we can always find a solution to help you finance a reliable new or used vehicle with terms that work for you.
Why might I have a low credit score?
Issues with your credit can arise for a multitude of reasons. Maybe you’re a new resident of Canada having to start with zero credit or a recent graduate with a hefty student loan to pay off. Perhaps you’re a small business owner finding it challenging to make ends meet, or you simply can’t get that old missed phone bill off your back. Whatever the reason, having a poor credit history shouldn’t deter you from finding a suitable vehicle to get you where you need to be!
How can auto-financing improve my credit score?
Financing a new (or used) vehicle is a great way to build your credit, even if it has to be from the ground up! Whether you’re new to the world of credit or have been sitting in the red zone for some time, having affordable payments that you pay off regularly and on time can really make a difference in improving your credit score.
What do I need to apply for a car loan?
Be sure to have the following documents ready to make the financing process as easy as possible.
Government-issued identification
Proof of income
Proof of residency/current address
Social insurance number
Down payment, if any (cash is preferred, but some places allow credit cards)
Credit score/consent to a credit rating check
How will my auto loan be determined?
Regarding auto financing, lenders typically take four major factors into account: the down payment, the vehicle’s specifics (model, style, age, mileage, and cost), your income, and your credit history. With long-standing connections with various lenders, the team at Lange & Fetter can help you secure an auto loan for a range of vehicles.
