In a nutshell, the new Ford Maverick is a compact hybrid pickup truck that serves as an important addition to the lineup as Ford continues to move into being a (mostly) car-free brand. The 2.5L hybrid engine is standard, and delivers 191-hp with a 4,000-pound towing capacity. The Maverick sips just 5.9 litres of gas per 100 km of city driving, and you’ll get as much as 800 km out of a single tank - most cars on the road can’t compete with fuel economy this impressive.
